Surgeon Simulator is a pretty fun game that recently went on sale on Steam during the holidays. When I am waiting for a League of Legend queue to pop, I will usually play this game. For $2.75, it is definitely worth the investment. This game is a surgical simulation game played in the first person perspective. You use your mouse to control the hand movement with the left button moving the hand up/down and the right button used to rotate the hand. The A, W, E, R, and Space buttons are used to control individual fingers and grab items. There are a variety of instruments available to perform surgeries including a scalpel, hammer, and a bone saw. The game-play consists of multiple levels in which the player has to attempt to perform a certain surgery (such as a brain or heart transplant) and you have to complete the surgery before the patient runs out of blood. One thing that makes this game fun/difficult is the awkwardness of the controls. You will find that it is harder than it seems to grab an instrument using the controls. However don't let this persuade you. Overall, this game is very fun and humerus and for $2.75 you can't go wrong. If you are interested in checking it out, just visit Steam and you can purchase it there.
I am an avid fan of playing free online flash games. I like these types of games a lot because they are always free, quick to find, and new ones are created every day. One of my favorite arcade games of all time is Heli Attack 2. This is a run-and-gun shooting game created in 2005. You play the role of a a paratrooper who must complete many missions using a variety of weapons and powers to destroy a series of helicopters and enemies that try and kill you.
There are 16 different levels to complete and they start off being pretty easy with weaker guns. As you progress, each level gets a little more difficult and the helicopters start becoming harder to destroy. To help you take out these helis, they are 32 different weapons that you can pick up from randomly dropped care packages. You start the game off with three different weapons (grenade, pistol, and knife) but these are all fairly weak. Later in the game, you can get some pretty powerful weapons such as an RPG, a Guided Missile, or a Taser. There are also power ups that you can pickup to make it easier to kill enemies. Some of the power-ups include increased jump height and time distortion. If you are interested in checking this game out, feel free to visit Fun Games Online and check it out. Since this is my first real post, I decided to start with the game that I am currently playing the most. League of legends is currently my favorite game and is the one where I spend most of my time playing it. It is classified as a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) video game. It is only available on the PC and is developed by Riot Games. It is currently the most played game with over 10 million people playing it daily from many different countries. It was released in 2008 and was based off of the DOTA mod from Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. The best part of it all is that it is completely free to play. Unlike some F2P games, you don't need to pay money to unlock everything in the game. Everything can be unlocked for free (with the exception of champion skins). The basic game play for this game is that there are twp teams each containing five champions. There are over 100 different champions to choose from with a new champion being created every month. The map is similar to the picture on the left containing three different lanes and a jungle. Each lane contains 3 towers and an inhibitor. There are minions that regularly spawn in each lane and in the jungle which attack the enemy team. You get gold for completing objectives (killing towers, dragon, or baron) and for killing minions. The main goal of this game is to destroy all of the enemy turrets and eventually destroy the enemy Nexus. However, this task is not as easy as it sounds. Towers are hard to kill by yourself as they do a lot of damage to your champion and have a lot of armor/hitpoints. Therefore, in order to kill a tower, you will either need to group up as five people or wait until your minion wave pushes to a tower and tanks the tower shots for you. A typical game usually lasts between 30-40 minutes. There is currently a meta in this game where a tanky champion goes top-lane, a mage caster goes mid-lane, a tanky jungler jungles, and a support and ranged marksman goes bottom lane. The roles of the tanks are to soak up as much damage as possible while locking down the enemy mage and marksman. The mage has a goal of trying to burst down the enemy marksman/mage. The role of the support is to keep your marksman alive as long as possible by healing them and preventing the enemy from reaching him. The goal of your marksman is to deal as much damage as possible without dieing. After explaining this fun game, I will now give a few reasons while I love playing it. The first reason is that it is a very team oriented game and requires good communication with your teammates. I like coming up with cool strategies that surprise the enemy team. Another reason I love the game is that each game is unique. Even though there is only one map, there are over 100 different champions to choose from with each of them having unique abilities. This is one of the games where it is fun to join a Skype with four other friends and have the a fun time destroying the enemy team. If you are competitive like me, there is a ranked game mode that lets you test your skills against the best of the best and try to rank all the way up to Diamond Tier. You can download and play this game at League of Legends.
Hey everyone, this is my welcome post to my first ever blog. My goal for this blog is to talk about and review a new fun game online each week. I will be talking about games for a variety of systems so do not fret if you only own one system and think I might not talk about it. Since this is my first blog, I am open to suggestions that will help me improve it so feel free to leave comments.
