I recently game accross this awesome first person shooter while browsing the internet. It is very similar to the Counter-Strike game and everyone should check it out. The graphics are awesome and the best part of everything is that it is completely free. When the game loads, you first choose what server you want to play on and join a game. There is currently one game mode, called Elimination. which is very similar to Counter-Strike's team deathmatch mode. The goal of this mode is to kill all of the enemies on the opposing team as many times as possible. When the game ends, whichever team ends with a higher score is the winner. There are a bunch of well made maps to choose from and many different weapons available to use. You earn money for getting kills and can use it to buy better weapons. What are you watiing for, check out this awesome shooting game and play Be Gone Guerra now!!
I was getting bored of my current favorite game, League of Legends, and I decided to try out a new game on Steam. Many of my friends already played Counterstrike so I decided to give it a try. Before Counterstrike, my only previous First Person Shooter experience was playing the Call of Duty series games. My first game of counterstrike, I did terrible. I died 10 times without getting a single kill. This got me angry and I kept on playing and dieing a lot. After 20 games of doing bad, I decided that Counterstrike was not the game for me. However after a month long break, I decided to try the game again. It is a very popular series so I figured that I had nothing to lose. The second time playing Counterstrike, it started to become more enjoyable. I realized that it is not a typical FPS game and has a more tactical approach. You can't just spray and pray at your opponents and hope for a kill. Instead, you have to use the map to your advantage by using choke points and objectives to take down your enemies. It also requires communication with your teammates to get good at the game. One cool included feature is that their is voice communication built in so you don't have to hop on Skype to communicate with your friends/teammates. For anyone looking for a new game to play, you should look at buying Counterstrike. It is a fairly cheap game to buy and it is available on steam. As you know, the Walking Dead just recently started their new season and I am sure many of you are big fans of this Zombie Apocalypse show. If that is the case, then this is the perfect game for you. Day Z is an open world multiplayer survival horror game. The setting is during a zombie apocalypse and your goal is to survive as long as possible. You need to forage the surroundings areas for supplies, such as clothing, food, and weapons. It is a free world game so you have a lot of freedom in the actions that you take. The game has close proximity voice communication, so you will be able to talk to other players that are nearby. You can go around and do many cool things such as robbing other players, trading, and killing some zombies. The game is currently in Alpha release and I recommend that you buy the game now as it is cheaper then when it will be fully released. If you are interested in this game, you can purchase it from the Steam marketplace. Earlier this week, I finally received an invite to go and try out Blizzards new card game Hearthstone. After playing it for a few days, it was a lot of fun and I think that everyone should go sign up to try out the beta. This game is very similar to the popular card game Magic The Gathering. The main difference is that you do not need to play mana or land cards. Instead you are given one more mana each turn. The cards in this game range in mana costs from 0 all the way up to 7. If you enjoy MTG, then you should definitely check out this game because you will most likely love it. The best part about this game is that it is completely free. You don't have to spend any money if you don't want to. However you can spend some money in order to get more cards. Runescape is one of the very first online games I started playing and I still love it today. I started all the way back in 2005 when it was still in Runescape Classic mode and have stuck with it throughout all of the changes. Do not let the graphics fool you. Even though the graphics are not as good as WOW, it is still a much better game in my opinion. There is both a F2P and P2P mode so you can try the game out for a while for free to see if you like it. There are many different features in this game that suits every style. If you like dueling other players, there are many PVP options such as staking money in a duel arena. You can also test out your battle skills in the wilderness where anyone can attack you and you may lose all your items if you die. If you are not into the PVP features, do not fret. There are many PVM opportunities. You can max all your skills such as fishing, woodcutting, farming, or cooking. Or you can join forces with some of your friends and try and take down some really strong bosses to try and get some expensive loot. Another option you may like is questing. You can engage in short, medium, or long quests to try and get some cool items and experience for your stats. There is something for everyone and I highly recommend that everyone should check out this game. The game is not that graphics intensive so you can play the game in low quality on an old computer. Battlefield 4 is one of my favorite games that I am spending a lot of time playing. i recently upgraded my computer and purchased a new 1080p 144 HZ monitor and this game looks amazing on it. The graphics are amazing and the gameplay is superb. Battlefield 4 is an FPS that is available for all major systems: PC, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3. Battlefield takes place in 2020 where tension between Russia and the United States is very high. The gameplay is similar to Call of Duty but I think it offers many more features. There are vehicles on every map and the maps are a lot larger. You can play with up to 64 players on each map. You can fly helicopters, gun people down with tanks or even drive around in armored cars The campaign is very fun but the multiplayer is what makes the game interesting. If you are an FPS fan, you should definitely check out this game. If you are interested in checking this game out, you can purchase it from the Origin client. Surgeon Simulator is a pretty fun game that recently went on sale on Steam during the holidays. When I am waiting for a League of Legend queue to pop, I will usually play this game. For $2.75, it is definitely worth the investment. This game is a surgical simulation game played in the first person perspective. You use your mouse to control the hand movement with the left button moving the hand up/down and the right button used to rotate the hand. The A, W, E, R, and Space buttons are used to control individual fingers and grab items. There are a variety of instruments available to perform surgeries including a scalpel, hammer, and a bone saw. The game-play consists of multiple levels in which the player has to attempt to perform a certain surgery (such as a brain or heart transplant) and you have to complete the surgery before the patient runs out of blood. One thing that makes this game fun/difficult is the awkwardness of the controls. You will find that it is harder than it seems to grab an instrument using the controls. However don't let this persuade you. Overall, this game is very fun and humerus and for $2.75 you can't go wrong. If you are interested in checking it out, just visit Steam and you can purchase it there. I am an avid fan of playing free online flash games. I like these types of games a lot because they are always free, quick to find, and new ones are created every day. One of my favorite arcade games of all time is Heli Attack 2. This is a run-and-gun shooting game created in 2005. You play the role of a a paratrooper who must complete many missions using a variety of weapons and powers to destroy a series of helicopters and enemies that try and kill you. There are 16 different levels to complete and they start off being pretty easy with weaker guns. As you progress, each level gets a little more difficult and the helicopters start becoming harder to destroy. To help you take out these helis, they are 32 different weapons that you can pick up from randomly dropped care packages. You start the game off with three different weapons (grenade, pistol, and knife) but these are all fairly weak. Later in the game, you can get some pretty powerful weapons such as an RPG, a Guided Missile, or a Taser. There are also power ups that you can pickup to make it easier to kill enemies. Some of the power-ups include increased jump height and time distortion. If you are interested in checking this game out, feel free to visit Fun Games Online and check it out. Since this is my first real post, I decided to start with the game that I am currently playing the most. League of legends is currently my favorite game and is the one where I spend most of my time playing it. It is classified as a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) video game. It is only available on the PC and is developed by Riot Games. It is currently the most played game with over 10 million people playing it daily from many different countries. It was released in 2008 and was based off of the DOTA mod from Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. The best part of it all is that it is completely free to play. Unlike some F2P games, you don't need to pay money to unlock everything in the game. Everything can be unlocked for free (with the exception of champion skins). The basic game play for this game is that there are twp teams each containing five champions. There are over 100 different champions to choose from with a new champion being created every month. The map is similar to the picture on the left containing three different lanes and a jungle. Each lane contains 3 towers and an inhibitor. There are minions that regularly spawn in each lane and in the jungle which attack the enemy team. You get gold for completing objectives (killing towers, dragon, or baron) and for killing minions. The main goal of this game is to destroy all of the enemy turrets and eventually destroy the enemy Nexus. However, this task is not as easy as it sounds. Towers are hard to kill by yourself as they do a lot of damage to your champion and have a lot of armor/hitpoints. Therefore, in order to kill a tower, you will either need to group up as five people or wait until your minion wave pushes to a tower and tanks the tower shots for you. A typical game usually lasts between 30-40 minutes. There is currently a meta in this game where a tanky champion goes top-lane, a mage caster goes mid-lane, a tanky jungler jungles, and a support and ranged marksman goes bottom lane. The roles of the tanks are to soak up as much damage as possible while locking down the enemy mage and marksman. The mage has a goal of trying to burst down the enemy marksman/mage. The role of the support is to keep your marksman alive as long as possible by healing them and preventing the enemy from reaching him. The goal of your marksman is to deal as much damage as possible without dieing. After explaining this fun game, I will now give a few reasons while I love playing it. The first reason is that it is a very team oriented game and requires good communication with your teammates. I like coming up with cool strategies that surprise the enemy team. Another reason I love the game is that each game is unique. Even though there is only one map, there are over 100 different champions to choose from with each of them having unique abilities. This is one of the games where it is fun to join a Skype with four other friends and have the a fun time destroying the enemy team. If you are competitive like me, there is a ranked game mode that lets you test your skills against the best of the best and try to rank all the way up to Diamond Tier. You can download and play this game at League of Legends. Hey everyone, this is my welcome post to my first ever blog. My goal for this blog is to talk about and review a new fun game online each week. I will be talking about games for a variety of systems so do not fret if you only own one system and think I might not talk about it. Since this is my first blog, I am open to suggestions that will help me improve it so feel free to leave comments. |
